Red Bull Formula Face was a browser racing game with facial controls via webcam. The game was controlled by facial gestures which included:
Blinking = turboboost
Smiling = activating collected specials (monster tires, glue, scissor…)
Imitate shown grimaces = shoot photo and collect bonus (only if you imitate the facial expression correctly)
Tilting your head = steering left/right
To play the game you only need a webcam. The game was also connected to social media so that people could share their scores on Facebook and challenge friends.
The game’s accolades include FWA site of the day 07/21/2012, Webby award nominee 2012 and Short listing for tomorrow awards 2011.
